I have been so busy lately, but I finally got a chance to write!

Well, after my e-bay fiasco, I towed my car to a friend's house. As it turns out, my friend's roommate has decided to buy it from me. No money yet, but it's still a load off...

Also, this same friend is going to Germany next spring. I think he wants to visit France, England, and Italy while in Europe. He asked me if he needed any vaccinations. It's been over a decade since I was last in Europe, but I didn't need anything except a visa for certain places like Prague. Does anyone else know?

I'm sure that no vaccinations are required for Europe, other than the ones he would require in the States anyway, such as Polio and Tetanus. I'm glad you've got your car sorted out, now if only I could sell mine.

Thanks so much for responding. He's really nervous about this trip, although being the 'guy' he is, won't admit it. He was born in Germany and is looking forward to going back.

I've been in Europe almost yearly for the last ten years. No vaccinations are needed for there ever, including Russia. A Flu shot would be a good idea, though, for flying, but since he's in America he's screwed on that idea. If he's worrying NOW about a trip in the Spring this guy doesn't sound like a very good traveller.

How about you? Why don't you offer to go along? Could be fun...

He's actually a great traveler, that whole military thing. He's just not used to flying civilian. Also, he's taking his mom, niece and nephew, and hopefully his girlfriend (aka my roommate and reason I'm not going - whole third wheel thing...) I would love to go back to Europe, but I'm trying to finish college, get out of debt, pay off last summer's surgery, and keep any car on the road. Perhaps in the next life...

And really, no shots for Russia... that alone tells you how long it's been since I was abroad.
