[From Samhain to the Solstice]: Harry Happens to Hogwarts, 1/7?, gen, AU
Title: Harry Happens to Hogwarts
Disclaimer: J. K. Rowling and associates own these characters I am writing this for fun and not profit.
Rating: PG-13
Content Notes: Canon-typical violence, major AU (Harry grew up from the age of nine in Grimmauld Place), humor, angst, minor bullying
Pairing: None, gen
Summary: AU. Harry goes to Hogwarts for his first year, carrying a magical trunk that carries part of the essence of Grimmauld Place with him and secure in Phineas Nigeullus’s promise to have the portraits watch out for him. He’s a bit puzzled by how everyone expects him to act, but, well, that’s not his problem. He has tons already, he doesn’t need more.
Author’s Notes: This is the sequel to my fic “Growing Up Grimmauld,” and won’t make much sense without it, as I don’t spend much time recapping that fic. This particular story is the second of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” series, being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice. At the moment, I don’t know how many chapters this one will be.

[From Samhain to the Solstice]: Broken Clocks, one-shot, gen, PG-13
Title: Broken Clocks
Disclaimer: J. K. Rowling and associates own these characters. I am writing this story for fun and not profit.
Pairing: None, gen
Content Notes: Ignores the epilogue, major character death, murder, possession, open/ambiguous ending
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Hermione has been noticing concerning changes in Harry’s behavior since the end of the war. She’s tried to talk to him about it, but he’s brushed her off. Now, Hermione has to convince Ron that their best friend might be possessed by the spirit of Voldemort—and that it’s their duty to confront him and exorcise him, if they have to.
Author’s Notes: This is the first of my “From Samhain to the Solstice” stories being posted between Halloween and the winter solstice for this year, the Halloween story. As with other Halloween fics I’ve posted in the past, this one is very dark; read at your own risk. The title refers to the saying “A broken clock is right twice a day.”

Database maintenance
Good morning, afternoon, and evening!
We're doing some database and other light server maintenance this weekend (upgrading the version of MySQL we use in particular, but also probably doing some CDN work.)
I expect all of this to be pretty invisible except for some small "couple of minute" blips as we switch between machines, but there's a chance you will notice something untoward. I'll keep an eye on comments as per usual.
Ta for now!
